DAVID BARNES (CONSULTANT)

As his surname suggests, David has strong links with the original Harold Barnes & Son - in fact, he was Principal of the Practice until the 2001 merger.  The knowledge gained has been put to good use in David's role as Consultant to today's firm. 

David's expertise is much valued, and used on various boards in his other role as non-executive director; these include a national charity, The United Church Schools Trust, where he has served on the Council since 1984, and is currently Chairman of the Finance Committee.  However, it's not all work for the family man, and his varied play includes golf, walking, gardening, classic cars, and of course, supporting a certain Sunderland AFC.
