His fellow directors may all be Sunderland supporters, but Richard is the only one who has actually played for them. Though he made only one First Team appearance (against Everton), he was a member of the successful team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1967. Richard not only brings football know-how to TTR Barnes, but also international accounting experience; he qualified in 1973 while working for an international firm in London, and this was followed by 5 years in Canada. He returned to the North East in 1980 to set up his own Practice.
Married with 2 grown-up children, Richard brought his wealth of experience to TTR Barnes in May 2005.
