Accounts & Payroll Assistant

Due to continued expansion we are excited to announce an opportunity for an Accounts & Payroll Assistant.

To be suitable for this role, you will ideally have between 2 and 3 years’ experience of accounts preparation and processing payrolls, in an accountancy practice environment. You will be familiar with the provision of payroll services and have some understanding of Auto Enrolment; you should also be familiar with uploading pension files to the relevant providers and be able to calculate PAYE. Familiarity with Sage Payroll and IRIS accounts software would be a great advantage. Needless to say, this post requires organisation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a demanding office environment with tight deadlines.

The role:

You will be responsible for processing payrolls and accounts preparation from client records, both manual and computer based; where necessary, full training will be provided. In addition, you will liaise with clients, colleagues, and external organisations in connection with day to day matters, queries, and official Enquiries.

Finally, you will be expected to maintain an awareness of the range of services provided by the firm and associated bodies, and their relevance to client needs.

Salary for this role is negotiable, depending on skills and experience.
