Christina Emery: Appointment to Mortgage Advisor & Administrator at Key Wealth

Our partner company, Key Wealth, is pleased to celebrate the progression of key team member, Christina Emery, to the position of Mortgage Advisor & Administrator. Christina has a wealth of experience in the area of mortgages and life assurance and we are thrilled that she is able to offer further expertise to our clients.

Christina’s Background

Christina completed her CeMAP qualification in March 2016 and graduated from Northumbria University in July 2017, having studied a BA(Hons) degree in Business and Finance. Christina first began her career with us working as a part-time administrator, progressing to a part-time mortgage adviser in 2016. In September 2017, she was welcomed as a full-time member of the team. Christina thoroughly enjoys developing relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the best possible service.

Christina’s Specialist Services

Christina’s area of expertise lies in advising clients on suitable mortgages including first-time buyers, remortgages and buy-to-let properties. She is adept at leading clients through the entire process, anticipating common issues and areas of complexity and ensuring a smooth process for all parties.

Christina also specialises in sourcing and arranging life assurance and critical illness protection products, providing sound advice and services in this area.

A day in the life of Christina

A typical day for Christina involves:

  • “Meeting with clients for initial interviews
  • Completing mortgage research for clients and advising on the outcome of the research
  • Submitting and tracking mortgage applications
  • Liaising with lenders to ensure a smooth mortgage application for clients and ensuring all client queries are answered
  • Preparing compliance documents that ensure all regulatory requirements are completed
  • Researching life assurance and income protection products so that I’m always up to date with what’s available for clients
  • Helping the administration team to ensure things go smoothly
  • Final checks to make sure that compliance documents are complete, updating clients and preparing invoices”

If Christina’s work life sounds busy, she also fills her spare time with photography, board/video gaming and watching Moto GP!
