Meet the Team: Sue Davison

28th March 2024

TTR Barnes grows Administration & Payroll Team with new member.

We are thrilled to welcome new administration assistant Sue Davison to the TTRB family.

What is your career background?

I started my work life at Royal Mail, with people calling to request postcodes, fishing licences and help in locating lost parcels. Over the years I developed a more administrative based role, dealing with behind the scenes reporting for deliveries of the likes of BT hubs, Amazon parcels, etc. After taking some time out to have my daughter, I went on to work at Newcastle University’s Medical School. I was PA to a very busy professor, looked after several different research groups and helped assist staff/students with the administrative side of their research projects. Before starting with TTR Barnes in the summer, I worked with a Financial Advisor, however, wanted to move closer to the Sunderland area.

What does a typical work day look like?

I work in the payroll department a few days a week, and the rest of my time is spent on reception. Clients are regularly popping in or calling, and it is always a hive of activity. It’s a very enjoyable and sociable role and your days do pass very quickly. There’s lots to learn still, but luckily, I’ve got very well experienced work colleagues who are always on hand to share their knowledge.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I enjoy going out for walks, meeting up with friends for food and spending time with my family. Travelling is also something I enjoy and like to visit as many new places as I can. I also try to get to the odd SAFC match when I have the chance.

What do you enjoy most about working at TTR Barnes?

The best thing are the people by far! From the first day, everyone was so kind and friendly. We all help each other out and the work ethic is second to none.

We are forever looking out for new talent to join our dynamic team! Our expanding accountancy firm is one of the largest in the Northeast and requires skill at every level, we also welcome applications from trainees.
